'A new set of big band groovers from Gap Mangione -- done in a hard swinging style, with some electric touches, in a manner that recalls his earlier work! The players in the group include Steve Gadd, Tony Levin, Gerry Niewood, and Gap himself -- and the tunes are a nice mix of late 60s and early 70s pop tunes, plus a few originals -- all of which give the album a feel of much older vintage. Titles include "Stolen Moments", "Happy Together", "The Fool On The Hill", "Big P", "The Need To Be", "Moon River", "The Gap", and "The End".
