[Summer
1997] -- Excitement filled the air as medical staff and employees
enjoyed cake in celebration of Lakeside's 65th Anniversary and learned
that the Honorable George Bush, the forty-first President of the

the threat of nuclear war was drastically reduced; the Soviet Union
imploded and was replaced by a democratic Russia; the Berlin Wall
fell, and Germany reunified. Attesting to the popularity of this
President, all 695 tickets for this gala event were sold within
three weeks of the announcement and the waiting list is growing!
